Highlights Bike Tour for school groups
The perfect start to your Berlin school trip
In Berlin you encounter history around every corner: whether it’s the German Empire, the Nazi era and the Holocaust, the Cold War or unified Germany – everything in a history and social studies syllabus can be experienced first hand on our “Berlin Highlights Bike Tour”. The format of these guided tours is perfect for school children. The pace is variable, with stops for information and interesting stories, tactile engagement with the environment, and then more cycling. Our guides are trained to work with students, asking and answering questions and taking into account their level of prior knowledge. An unforgettable experience for everyone involved!

We select the routes of our tours carefully, and our guides receive specialist training in managing bike tours. We favour routes that lead away from the busy main roads of the city, and try wherever possible to stick to quiet streets and cycle paths, for maximum safety and enjoyment.
50% of Berlin households do not own a car, and travelling by bike or public transport is the norm here, which means that car drivers are used to cyclists.
The luminous orange vests worn by our bike guides and a volunteer at the back of the bike tour make us easy to spot on the roads. In Berlin it is possible to enjoy a safe and relaxed bike tour, including with children.

Our guides adapt the bike tours to weather conditions, participants’ interests, street closures and sometimes their own preferences. Changes and deviations are possible.
All Berlin on Bike public bike tours start at the Kulturbrauerei (means “Culture Brewery”) in the Prenzlauer Berg district. The brewery grounds have several entrances, the best way to get to us is through the archway at Knaackstraße 97. From the underground station Eberswalder Straße (underground line 2, three stops north of Alexanderplatz) it’s a 200-metre walk.
For private tours with your own bikes, the start can be arranged individually. Delivery of our bikes for your private bike tour is also possible for an additional charge – but this is usually only worthwhile for larger groups.
On average our group bike tours consist of between eight and twelve participants. On our regular bike tours, fifteen people per group is our maximum. If there are more registrations, we provide more guides, to ensure that groups remain manageable in size, for the sake of safety and for the enjoyment of our guests.
A minimum of four guests is required for a bike tour to run.
In the case of private bike tours, we recommend that groups do not exceed fifteen guests at a time. Larger groups will be divided up, with more guides allocated to the tour.
