From the underground station Eberswalder Straße (underground line 2, three stops north of Alexanderplatz) it’s a 200-metre walk.
For private tours with your own bikes, the start can be arranged individually. Delivery of our bikes for your private bike tour is also possible for an additional charge – but this is usually only worthwhile for larger groups.

On average our group bike tours consist of between eight and twelve participants. On our regular bike tours, fifteen people per group is our maximum. If there are more registrations, we provide more guides, to ensure that groups remain manageable in size, for the sake of safety and for the enjoyment of our guests.
A minimum of four guests is required for a bike tour to run.
In the case of private bike tours, we recommend that groups do not exceed fifteen guests at a time. Larger groups will be divided up, with more guides allocated to the tour.
-
All Berlin on Bike bicycles are equipped with a small basket for backpacks, bags or jackets, plus there are tension straps so that the load is also secured. Heavy luggage or purchases can be left in our office during opening hours.

Our tours take place even if the weather is not so good, as long as the minimum number of participants of 4 people is reached. You will get rain ponchos free of charge and gloves in cold temperatures. We react flexibly to short rain showers during the tour with a short break in the café or a “covered” stop. If the weather is too bad for you, you can change your booking by phone or cancel the tour for free if necessary. Especially important for private tours: In case of rainy weather, contact us at least 90 minutes before the tour starts, so that your guide does not set out for nothing. Frequently asked questions on safety on our bike tours
-
We select the routes of our tours carefully, and our guides receive specialist training in managing bike tours. We favour routes that lead away from the busy main roads of the city, and try wherever possible to stick to quiet streets and cycle paths, for maximum safety and enjoyment.
50% of Berlin households do not own a car, and travelling by bike or public transport is the norm here, which means that car drivers are used to cyclists.
The luminous orange vests worn by our bike guides and a volunteer at the back of the bike tour make us easy to spot on the roads. In Berlin it is possible to enjoy a safe and relaxed bike tour, including with children.
-
In Berlin, helmets are not compulsory for cyclists and therefore not on our bike tours either. Nevertheless, we recommend wearing a helmet and always have sufficient helmets (also for large groups) available on site free of charge.
-
Berlin on Bike is particularly family-friendly. Especially during the vacation season, many children go on tour with us. We have a solution for all ages, from baby seats and child trailers to trailer bikes (trailers). – Please reserve these in advance so they are ready when the tour starts.
For self-cycling children, smaller bikes are available in 20, 24 and 26 inch wheel sizes.
Other frequently asked questions
