Get active and explore Berlin
For our photo rallye “Berlin’s backyards and hidden treasures” we are leaving the bikes in storage for a change. In small groups of 4-5, students have to independently navigate the district of Prenzlauer Berg, following or top-secret mission briefings. We let them discover hidden backyards, clever street art, left-overs from the Berlin Wall and the war, old breweries, the most famous of Currywurst and quirky shops.
At every location our explorers have to fullfil a mission that asks for creative solutions and interaction with the locals. By becoming active themselves students learn a lot about Berlins, it’s history and it’s people. They get to see places that would be unaccessible on a normal sightseeing tour and can experience the dynamic of the city in a safe and meaningful way.
Every teams gets a camera to document their tasks, which are designed in a way to encourage funny and surprising solutions. Afterwards we show the results on a beamer and all groups get together to crown the victorious group – and make fun of each other.
